Wow!!!

Over a year since I've posted to this blog. Unreal. I have become so disillusioned with humanity. Our choices are being dictated by lobbyists and we don't even know it. We need a revolution. We need to take to the streets like the Iranians have. We are being railroaded into a society that is ruled by elitists, i.e., lobbyists and corporations. Tracy Chapman's song 'Talkin' Bout a Revolution' was released in 1988. That was over 20 years ago. Have the tables turned in favour of the people? I think not. Here are the lyrics for you to reflect on. Her song is also on my playlist which is worth a listen.

Talkin' Bout a Revolution
by Tracy Chapman

Don’t you know

They’re talkin’ 'bout a revolution
It sounds like a whisper
Don’t you know
They’re talkin’ about a revolution
It sounds like a whisper

While they’re standing in the welfare lines
Crying at the doorsteps of those armies of salvation
Wasting time in the unemployment lines
Sitting around waiting for a promotion

Poor people gonna rise up
And get their share
Poor people gonna rise up
And take what’s theirs

Don’t you know
You better run. . .
Oh I said you better run . . .

Finally the tables are starting to turn
Talkin’ 'bout a revolution
Finally the tables are starting to turn
Talkin’ 'bout a revolution
Talkin’ 'bout a revolution
